Create Database on Oracle Cloud



We will show you how to create database on oracle cloud database.
  • Log into your Oracle Cloud Services account
  • Go to the “Oracle Database Cloud Service” and create a new service
  • Select “Oracle Database Cloud Service” as the type of subscription from the Dropdown
  • Select the SSH Public Key as shown in the attached figure
  • Select “Oracle Database 12c Release 1” from the Software Release Dropdown
  • Select “Enterprise Edition” as Software Edition
  • Select billing frequency as per your convenience.


Click on Next to continue. 

Service Details Screen
  • Select the compute shape and time zone
  • Backup destination should be set as none or else you would have to configure compute storage container
  • Select Usable Database Storage as 25 GB
  • Select Administrative password (Note: The same password would be used as your sys password as well as the password for Dbaas monitor console)
  • Set a DB name (SID)
  • Set a PDB name (wrt DB name)
  • Set DB Listener Port as 1521
  • Set Create Instance from existing backup as “No
  • Set Character set, National Character Set as AL32UTFS


Click on  Next to continue.


Finally, check the configuration and click on “Create” to create your cloud database.


After a few minutes, cloud database will be created successfully.

 

Click on the service name ( CloudGG) to open the main page of database.
